CIRRO E-Commerce opened a new Salt Lake City facility to manage ecommerce shipping with first-mile pickups, sorting, and middle-mile hand-offs for 25,000 parcels daily. This expansion also introduces a hybrid delivery service that provides 100% nationwide coverage with fast transit times and competitive rates for small D2C parcels.

Nefab opened a new 140,000-square-foot facility in Tucson, Arizona, to serve as a key hub for warehousing and packaging, offering sustainable wood- and fiber-based solutions for industries like semiconductors, automotive, and mining. The eco-friendly facility includes electric forklifts and optimized lighting.

• To support its independent truck owner-operators, Landstar System opened a new 8,000-square-foot field operations center in Crawfordsville, Indiana. The facility offers classrooms, a conference room, amenities, and secured parking for 100+ tractor-trailers.

Parts Town Unlimited opened its largest fulfillment center in Litchfield Park, Arizona, featuring advanced automation and robotics. The facility expands inventory for commercial and residential appliance parts, HVAC components, and more, and supports faster service and nationwide growth.

Warehouse On Wheels (WOW) expanded its mobile storage solutions with a new Advantage Trailer Rentals location in Oklahoma City, catering to industries like oil and gas, manufacturing, and retail distribution. Positioned to connect key markets, the new location enables businesses to scale storage needs flexibly without traditional warehousing.

CJ Logistics America broke ground on a new logistics center in Elwood, Illinois. This development is part of a broader agreement that CJ Logistics announced in 2023 with the Korea Ocean Business Corporation. The facility will span 1.1 million square feet and feature automation technologies.

Komar Distribution Services (KDS) launched a duty-free supply chain from West Africa to the United States, leveraging Togo’s trade benefits to reduce costs and improve logistics operations. With a new $25-million manufacturing facility in Togo and a distribution center in Georgia, KDS streamlines production and imports for leading brands.

Scotlynn launched a Managed Transportation Solutions (MTS) division to provide end-to-end, data-driven logistics services that optimize route planning, freight management, and real-time tracking. Integrated into Cosmic Frog, this tool eliminates the need for SQL coding by enabling users to perform data analysis and modeling through simple language prompts.

SC Codeworks launched Codeworks Enterprise, a warehouse management system that simplifies the transition from keyboard-based systems with a redesigned interface, cloud access, and new features such as photo/document upload and voice.

C.H. Robinson’s platform now uses proprietary tech that incorporates generative artificial intelligence to automate transactions with shippers via email. Gather AI introduced an inventory monitoring solution for freezer and cold storage environments, enabling drones to autonomously count inventory without GPS or Wi-Fi. The solution allows warehouse operators to remotely view inventory results on a dashboard and improve accuracy and efficiency in harsh environments.

Loadsure’s Holistic Freight Protection combines AI-driven risk insights, digital insurance solutions, and automated claims processing to help businesses mitigate risk and recover losses. Carrier Transicold, in partnership with Net Feasa, introduced IoTPASS, a telematics solution that extends asset monitoring to dry containers alongside refrigerated units. Integrated with the Lynx Fleet platform, IoTPASS enables seamless tracking within a single ecosystem, enhancing connectivity across intermodal supply chains.

Hiab, part of Cargotec, launched HIAB iQ.708 HIPRO, a heavy loader crane. Providing an increased lifting capacity compared to previous models, the HIAB iQ.708 HIPRO has a maximum vertical reach of around 131 feet and can deliver materials with an “up and over” of more than 85 feet.

ORBIS Corporation’s new 60×48 industrial pallet, designed for powertrain and battery component transport, is compatible with automation and edge-racking systems. Features include a one-inch continuous lip, metal reinforcement options, and compatible thermoform
top cap.

Dot Ai introduced ZiM, an IoT tracking technology for supply chain management companies. The Zero Infrastructure Mesh, or ZiM, can read both passive and active transponders, providing real-time data for supervisory systems.

Hyster Company introduced a new onboard charging solution for several of its integrated lithium-ion electric forklift models, allowing them to charge via standard electrical outlets in addition to traditional fast charging. This innovation makes lithium-ion forklifts more accessible to businesses without dedicated charging infrastructure.

Ulefone introduced the Armor Mini 20 Series, a compact and rugged smartphone lineup. The Armor Mini 20T Pro features FLIR Lepton 3.5 thermal imaging, while the Armor Mini 20 Pro offers an infrared night vision camera, both powered by the 5G-capable MediaTek 6300 SoC.


Transportation

Lufthansa Cargo began its first direct transpacific freighter service from Asia to North America, enhancing transportation efficiency between Vietnam and the United States. The inaugural flight departed Ho Chi Minh City in October 2024, then flew to Los Angeles, operated by AeroLogic, ensuring faster connectivity for the growing Vietnamese economy. With this addition, Lufthansa Cargo now offers 89 weekly B777F freighter flights worldwide.

Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) made a port rotation change for two of its services that re-introduced Port Everglades as a weekly call beginning November 2024.
The shipping line’s reworked EMUSA service between the Mediterranean and the U.S. now calls Port Everglades on a fixed weekly schedule. Port Everglades is also the only Florida stop for MSC’s United States to east coast of South America service.

For enhanced connectivity between South China, Southeast Asia, and Chennai, OOCL introduced its Far East-Chennai Service 3 (FCS3), establishing direct connections between ports in China, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, and East India.

To meet growing regional logistics demand, SolitAir launched its first daily scheduled air cargo service between Dubai World Central and Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport. The service operates five days a week with Boeing 737-800 freighters, carrying pharmaceuticals, perishables, and high-value shipments.
